Major Events
Parent Orientation
This event is for Parents only. It is held in the BCS gym in August. At Parent Orientation attendees will learn typical BCS procedures and processes. The is also a time for parents to speak with their student’s teacher. Dress is casual.
Meet the Teacher
This event occurs prior to the start of school and is an opportunity for parents and students to get to know their teachers and each other. Upper School students will receive their schedules and locker information.
BooHoo-WooHoo Parent Coffee
Come join PTF after dropping your student off in their classroom on the first day of school. This event is held in the BCS gym and the dress is casual.
Grandparents’ Day
Grandparent’s Day is for the Grandparents and Grandpals of students in Preschool-6th grade. This event is typically held on a Friday morning in October in the BCS gym. The students will present a program to their grandparents. Student dress code is Dress Uniform.
Eagle Fest
Eagle Fest is a family friendly event that includes games, face painting, bounce houses, and concessions. Dress is casual.
Christmas Program
The Christmas Program is performed by students in grades K-6th grade. Parents, grandparents, and friends of Bayshore are all invited to attend. This event takes place in December, and is typically held at First Baptist Church of Fairhope. The dress code for students is “Christmas Sunday best.”
Father-Daughter Dance
The Father-Daughter Dance is for Kindergarten-6th grade girls and their fathers. This event typically takes place in January. Dress is Sunday best.
Mother-Son Bingo Night
Mother-Son Bingo Night is for Kindergarten-6th grade boys and their mothers. This event typically takes place in February. Dress is casual.
Bayshore Benefit
The Bayshore Benefit is BCS’s largest annual fundraiser. Typically held at The Grand Hotel, this event includes a silent and live auction, a dessert frenzy, and a keynote speaker. This event takes place in March, and the dress is business casual.
Logic Cotillion
Cotillion is a dance for BCS students in 7th-8th grade. This event takes place in the spring in the BCS gym. The dress code is semi-formal.
Rhetoric Formal
Formal is a dance for BCS students in 9th-12th grade. This event takes place in the spring. Dress code is formal.
Field Day
Kindergarten-12th grade students participate in Field Day during the last week of school. Grammar School and Upper School Field Day are held on separate days. Students play games and navigate obstacle courses. Upper School students compete for House points. Students will wear Spirit Dress or House Shirts.
Awards Day
Awards Day is for all Kindergarten-12th grade students. Christian Character Awards are given out, as well as other end-of-the-year honors. This event takes place on the last day of school, and the dress code is business casual.
Graduation
Graduation is held the last week of school to celebrate our seniors. Dress code is business casual.
